1. Scanner capacity/performance
SGS conducts a complete assessment of:
- the scanner equipment theoretical capacity and performance according to the terms of purchase/leasing contract of the equipment.
- the scanner equipment practical capacity and performance according to concrete tests performed on the scanner equipment on site.
The inspection will cover all the aspects of the scanner including the throughput, penetration, radioscopic image quality, archiving system, adaptability to local environment.

2. Conformity to the client’s needs/requirements/objectives
- Identification of the local constraints, volume of traffic and objectives to be reached through the use of scanners.
- Checking the conformity of the scanner performances with the local expectation.

- Definition of the status of the legal entity to run the scanner through the creation of a workshop with Ports Authorities and Customs.
