SGS can either operate the scanner or assist you in operating the scanner.
1. Operations. SGS can either provide or assist you through the following services:
Image Analysis (or assistance if done by Customs): the Image Analyst is proceeding to the image analysis through a specific method. SGS will provide Cabin Image Analyst experts in that field to assist the Image Analyst in order to guarantee the complete and appropriate image analysis.
Document workflow management: the entire document workflow can be managed and automated by SGS to facilitate the transfer to the Cabin Image.
Suspicious shipments investigation: when a file is registered as suspicious, SGS assists in the investigation process with its inspectors and logistic tools in order to conduct a thorough and steady investigation.
Scanner users handling: SGS provides the necessary staff professionally operate the scanning equipment.
2. Preventive maintenance SGS can manage the preventive maintenance for level 1 (concerns the actions that will be done with simple tools and accessories available to the System Operator or to the local maintenance team) and level 2 (consists in analyzing the breakdown and replacing the sub-systems or broken elements by the spare parts available).
This maintenance will include:
The spare parts management: The choice of the spare parts and the quantity for the project. The use of the SGS spare parts management software to guarantee the automatic replacement by the scanner manufacturer of any spare removed from the stock on site.
An on-site maintenance team: This team will have the necessary skills and qualifications to provide tailor made maintenance, allowing an immediate response time to breakdowns and enabling the client to benefit from the unique experience of SGS and its network.
A permanent online assistance: SGS has developed a knowledge database centre accessible anytime by internet and enabling:
The identification / isolation of any breakdown thanks to the use of the manufacturer troubleshooting list and consultation of previous SGS breakdown experience on the same subsystem.
