SGS offers services linked to the security on a scanner site. The audits can be performed at different levels:
1. Radiation safety
- Assessment of the employees’ knowledge about the radiation safety principles, their IAEA certification and the respect of the security procedures on site. If necessary, IAEA certification will be provided.
- Radiation measurements in every area of the scanner site (cabin image, system operator cabin, tunnel, restricted area, outside the restricted area behind / in front / beside the scanner, technical office room).
- Verification of the dosimeters procedures (attribution of individual dosimeter for each scanner operator & visitor, laboratory analysis results analysis..) as well as warning signs to be affixed to the barrier or walls.

2. Site Security aspects Assessment of the security on site regarding:
- Exposures to possible sabotage
- Potential lack of autonomy in the scanning operation (electricity, communication..)
- Security guarding services (number of guards, procedures, communication equipment, CCTV system…)
- Access to the scanner site for personnel/visitors & trucks (identification, access card/documents…).
- Scanner site design review to prevent from physical risks

- Preventive measures to preserve confidentiality of the information treated and revealed by the use of the scanner
- Post scanning suspicious shipments process review
- Quality and integrity of the process review
- Radioscopic Image software protections, access control…
- Archiving process review (timing, IT support used…)
